Protect your business and personal lines from unwanted telemarketing calls

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) recently published a new rule that will stop telemarketers from calling you using information gained on websites that gather and market your contact information – a huge win for consumers and small-business owners. We know these invasive calls cost you money And the FCC’s new rule could stop 90% or more of the telemarketing calls currently flooding personal and business phones on Main Street.

But the owners of those websites that gather and sell our private information used by the telemarketers to bombard us with calls are fighting it. The telemarketers are challenging the rule. And the Small Business Administration is going to bat for them–not you!

The FCC is now asking small businesses: Should these telemarketing calls to business and personal lines stop? Or should the status quo continue, with telemarketers bombarding our businesses with prerecorded telemarketing calls?

It’s a no-brainer. The FCC must protect small-business owners from invasive and costly calls.

Tell the FCC to reject the demands of the telemarketers and lead generators. They should not be permitted to continue selling your personal information to companies who will only use it to bother you with telemarketing calls.

File a comment today and make certain the FCC hears from real small-business owners, not telemarketers.
