Threats to Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) are growing worldwide, as users protect themselves from escalating mandatory ID checks and online censorship. Over the past year, the number of U.S. states and countries that restricted or proposed restricting VPNs has crept up, with many proposing censorship bills that would force millions more people to rely on VPN access for safety and access to information.
