Stop KOSA: Protect LGBTQ youth from censorship

The Kids Online Safety Act is still a threat in Congress, with Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer naming “kids safety” as a priority for the Senate in the immediate future. Despite rampant criticism from civil rights organizations and 300K actions taken against KOSA by young people and internet users, KOSA could still be passed into law.

One of KOSA’s own sponsors, Senator Marsha Blackburn, brought its problems into focus in this video that recently surfaced. In it, she makes clear that KOSA could be a tool for transphobic lawmakers who want to censor speech online. We need to keep the fight going against this harmful legislation and we need your help to do it.

Your donation will help Fight permanently take down KOSA and fund our activism against bills that hamper free speech online, threaten the safety of LGBTQ youth on the internet, and distract us from the real goal: passing the badly-needed comprehensive privacy legislation that would actually protect our kids online.
